Preregistration and Fest Highlights
Concert and Music Instruction:
Bruce Sagan is one of the foremost Scandinavian fiddlers performing and teaching in North America. He also plays the
Norwegian hardanger fiddle (hardingfele) as well as the Swedish nyckelharpa, and was awarded the Zorn Diploma in Bronze on the basis of his playing before a jury of some of Sweden's best fiddlers, an honor that has been accorded to very few non-Swedes.

Peter Michaelsen - a folk musician for 45 years, he has focused the past 25 on the music of Scandinavia, playing both the standard (flat) and hardanger fiddles and mouthharp. Peter has studied in Sweden and was awarded the Zorn Diploma in Bronze. A staff member of several annual camps, Peter is known for his musical knowledge and dance fiddling.

Dance Instruction:

Judy Patterson and Jerry Walsh have made many trips to Scandinavia, and have been awarded the “Stort” (Big) Silver medals in polska dancing. Known for their clear and light-hearted teaching approach and for their precision dancing, they will teach Norwegian and Swedish folk dances. Bruce and Peter will share playing for dance instruction.
